Mark has over 20 years experience in criminal defence work and has since 2001 specialised in all levels of computer based crime.

These include prosecutions brought under the Trademarks Act, Copyright Designs and Patent Act and Computer Misuse Act, brought by authorities such as the Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT), ELSPA, National High Tech Crime Unit (now SOCA) as well as private prosecutions by companies such as Virgin Media .

Mark and his team not only use their own skills and knowledge to defend cases of 'conspiracy', 'hacking', 'phishing', 'chipping' and also 'piracy' but instruct some of the country's leading experts in the field of computer forensics to ensure that every aspect of the matter is fully investigated.

Mark leads a team of lawyers at the firm who specialise in cyber-crime cases. He is regularly instructed on some of the most complex cases in the country such as Operation Blossom - the largest prosecution brought in this country as part of a co-ordinated worldwide investigation into hacking and cracking of software.

Mark has acted in a number of worldwide banking frauds which have involved the financial institutions such as banks and credit card companies having their computer servers hacked into.

Mark was also instructed in relation to the first prosecution into the chipping of games consoles on a commercial scale as well as the first prosecution regarding false identities brought under the Fraud Act.

In addition to the above-mentioned highly specialised work, Mark also undertakes the full array of serious fraud and serious crime cases in the Crown Court such as murder, drugs conspiracies, armed robberies, money laundering, VAT and Duty fraud.
