Shubhdeep Murria, Head of Confiscation Department
Shubhdeep Murria (Shuby), was admitted as a solicitor in 1999. He is a qualified duty solicitor and undertakes some work at the Magistrates Court and Police Station, however he predominantly works on serious Crown Court cases which vary from Murder, major drugs conspiracies, fraud and other cases of a serious nature. Shuby is highly experienced in dealing with such matters as he commenced working on serious crime cases in 1996.
Shuby is the head of the firms Confiscation Department and has considerable experience of conducting very complex Confiscation / Proceeds of Crime Act ( POCA ) proceedings both in the Crown Court and the Court of Appeal. He has been able to build up very good working relationships with the best Barristers including Queens Counsel who also specialise in Confiscation / POCA proceedings.
Shuby has been involved in a number of cases which have been dealt with at the Court of Appeal where Confiscation Orders made in the Crown Court have been quashed.
