The Circumstances | Murder | Kangs Criminal Defence Team
Our client was charged with another, for the offence of Murder.
Two other co-defendants faced an allegation of Perverting the Course of Justice.
In August 2020, the victim suffered catastrophic injuries from an incident in which our client is alleged to have played a pivotal role. The prosecution alleged the motive was financial gain.
During the course of the Trial, our client accepted he helped destroy clothing but maintained he played no part at all regarding the Murder.
The Trial | Kangs Criminal Trial Defence Solicitors
Following a Trial lasting just over eight weeks, our client was found ‘Not Guilty’ of both Murder and Manslaughter.
Our client will be sentenced for the offence of perverting the course of justice as a result of his acceptance that he destroyed clothing worn by the person responsible for carrying out the Murder.
The case was factually and evidentially complex as it contained a vast quantity of electronic evidence including text messages and WhatsApp messages which all required careful examination by the Kangs defence team in advance of and during the course of the Trial.
The Successful Verdicts | Kangs Trial Solicitors
The Jury returned unanimous ‘not guilty’ verdicts for Murder and Manslaughter, with which our client was, of course, overjoyed having been remanded in custody awaiting trial since his initial arrest in August 2020.
