A prosecution brought by the CPS against a Kangs’ client and seven other defendants at Teesside Crown Court has now concluded.
The defendants were all initially charged with conspiracy to defraud various financial institutions by the use of fraudulent mortgage applications.
A recent assessment places the financial loss to the institutions in excess of £300 million pounds.
The CPS has agreed, following negotiations, not to proceed further against Kangs’ client following various pleas made by other defendants being accepted by the court.
The case was conducted by Colin Parker of Kangs Solicitors. Counsel instructed on behalf of our client were Charles Bott QC and Matthew Lawson, both of Carmelite Chambers, London.
