Robertson

Kangs Sports client and towering central defender Chris Robertson played the full 90 minutes for AFC Wimbledon in this weekend’s highly anticipated game versus MK Dons, but he could not stop his side leaving Stadium MK empty handed.

The Dons gave their new manager, Robbie Neilson, a perfect start to his managerial career in League One as a Dean Bowditch penalty sealed the points in what was their first home win since March 5th.

Smith v Richards

Kangs Sports loyalties were divided in this weekend’s League One encounter between Port Vale and Northampton Town, as two of our clients locked horns In what proved to be a throughly entertaining match.

Young Valiants’ centre half Nathan Smith pitted his wits against veteran centre forward and Northampton captain Marc Richards, but it was the latter who came away with bragging rights. His side ran out 3-2 winners to secure the Cobblers’ first win in 5 games, much to the delight of manager Rob Page who departed Vale Park this summer.

Round Up

Former Northern Ireland international and Kangs Sports client Michael O’Connor had a weekend to forget as he was sent off in Notts County’s game against Wycombe Wanderers which the Magpies subsequently went on to lose 2-0 at home.

Michael was deemed to have lunged in for a wreckless challenge and was subsequently shown the red card right on half time as County trailed 1-0.

Current Motherwell top scorer Louis Moult couldn't break the deadlock in the Wells goalless draw with Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier league.

Chances were few and far between for the prolific Staffordshire born forward, and he was unable to add to this season’s impressive goal tally as the game ended honours even.
