Major Drugs Trial | Client Found ‘Not Guilty’

Share

Our client was one of 11 defendants facing an allegation of Conspiracy to Supply Class A Drugs at Birmingham Crown Court . After an eight week trial, our client was unanimously acquitted by the Jury.

The case revolved around the main conspirator who at the time was a serving prisoner. Telephone calls made between the main conspirator to his family and friends were all recorded by the Prison Authorities. The main expert for the Prosecution listened to hundreds of telephone calls and interpreted these as representing conversations involving the purchase and supply of Class A Drugs. The evidence relied upon by the Crown was carefully examined by the defence and robustly challenged during the trial. Crucial evidence relied upon by the Crown was also excluded as a result of legal submissions made by the defence being made during the course of the trial. The careful and meticulous preparation which went into preparing the defence case, ultimately resulted in the right result being achieved for our client.

Not Guilty

After the client was unanimously acquitted, he said, “this result would not have been achievable without the hard work of my defence team. I owe it all to you”.

The case was conducted by Amandeep Murria of Kangs Solicitors.
