Nathan Smith makes first team debut | Kangs Sports Lawyers

Share

Kangs Sports client, the promising centre-half Nathan Smith, capped off fine pre-season performances by being rewarded with his first professional league start for Port Vale as they took on Bradford City on the opening day of the season.

The new manager at Port Vale, Bruno Ribiero, also gave credit to Nathan for his pre season performances and said he warranted a starting berth after being the Valiant’s best player in the lead up to the opening fixture.

The game against Bradford City resulted in a clean sheet and the first point on the board for the Staffordshire based club.

In front of a 19,000 strong crowd at Valley Parade, the dominating defender produced a fine display against, arguably, the biggest aerial threat in League One, the Bantams’ James Hanson.

Nathan was picked to start ahead of numerous new signings as Portuguese manager, Bruno Ribiero, picked up his first point in English football.

On a personal level, Nathan was selected by the Football League Paper as a standout performer and named in their Team of the Week.

Kangs Sports are also pleased to announce that Nathan Smith has extended his representation contract with us for a further two years.

We look forward to continuing to work with Nathan and build on the success he achieved last season at Torquay United, where he was named Player of the Season.
